Safe-Keeping Documents
Be sure to keep your legal documents safe but not "too safe". Generally, important documents should be kept in safe that is fireproof and waterproof. Do not keep your documents in a safety deposit box as it makes it hard for your executor or agents to access the documents. Let your family know where you keep your important paperwork and how to access it when needed. If you have a home safe, let them know where to find the key or where you have the combination written down so they can retrieve the documents at the appropriate time.
